I grew up in the age of Atari, my father owed one of the first PC's back in 1979 and several upright arcade machines including Donkey Kong, Tempest, Frogger and Dig Dug in the late 80's. I purchased the first 8bit Nintendo with money I saved at the age of 13 and I rebuilt my own PC in 1994 just for the sole purpose of gaming. I have always enjoyed video games and was an avid PC gamer for years. I always strived to have the fastest FPS available. Alas I grew tired of the constant keeping up with the latest hardware, patches and cheating that was prevalent at the time. It wasn't until the Xbox360 was released with HD resolutions that I felt console gaming was finally caching up to PC standards. It was just a few weeks before the release of Halo 3 my roommate at the time got me to play Halo 2 and I was hooked. I missed my mouse and KB for control but soon became accustom to the thumb stick control and found a new world of online friends with a similar passion for gaming. I believe that it was because of this interest that led me into the Technology Field that I am still doing today. I am in my 40’s now and looking back over that last 35 years it is amazing where we have come. I believe I will continue to be amazed as the industry changes and will continue to play until arthritis or another age induced ailment prevents me otherwise.
